Slough News: We're Expanding...Again!

This past week the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue marked another milestone in its expansion as crews broke ground on a new wet lab for the facility. It wouldn't have happened without the generosity of the →Master Builders Association. Interns And Invasive Species

Some of our →Lake Washington Watershed Interns will be at Pacific Science Center's main campus under the arches near the Space needle this weekend. You'll find them out and about with Discovery Carts explaining the problems of invasive species, something they've studied at length at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center. Certain types of ivy, blackberries and starlings are just some of the species the interns and many others work to eradicate to protect our important wetlands. So, stop by this weekend and learn more about invasive species and an →excellent program for area high school students.
