The Art Of Science
One of the more thought-provoking exhibits we've ever presented is currently open in Building 4. Chris Jordan: Running The Numbers is a remarkable collection of large images comprised of thousands of tiny images that represent huge numbers related to how humans consume stuff. But critic Gary Faigin was on KUOW recently to share why this exhibit has artistic merit, even without the larger environmental and social messages. Take →a listen then come see for yourself.

Hello and good afternoon,
With regard to art and science, I wanted to let you know that Nikon Small World 2009 has announced its winning photomicrograph images and I wanted to see if you’d be interested in running them. The first place image was from Dr. Heiti Paves of Tallinn, Estonia, who won with a photo of Arabidopsis thaliana, or thale cress anther, the male sex organ of a small flowering plant.
You can find all of the winning images at www.nikonsmallworld.com. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you need any high resolution images of the Top 20, Honorable Mentions or Images of Distinction.
